Helping adults connect and explore through storytelling and live acting
As adults, it can be difficult yo find a drug and alcohol free space to connect with people. What we do is we run a live action collaborative storytelling game every 2 weeks (some periods during the year such as December sometimes see schedule adjustments.).
These storytelling get togethers are called Sessions, and during a session you have the chance to act and dress as your character, or perhaps be a non-player character! Sometimes those can be caring, regular people or the bad guys that the other players have to interact with. This gives the actors a chance to step into the shoes of another character and experience them for awhile.
There is a rules system in place to deal with challenges such as combat; we have very specfiic rules about not touching other actors, and not having weapons present. Any combat challenges, or skill challenges are solved with the rules system to avoid any hard feelings.
People come to have fun, and not be judged. Please leave any real world poltics at the door, as we do not discuss them in the play-space. While important, discussing these things can move a safe space to an uncomfortable one very quickly, and there are better forums for that kind of discussion.
We are a 19+ group due to some of the themes and language that can occur in the stories that we share. We do not actively seek out material that makes people uncomfortable, and have rules in regards to that under the Rules/Conduct Section.
